Kaiden Campbell has spent his career inside the industry Backsnap MFG serves. His background is rooted in San Diego's surf, skate, and snow culture, the same world many of his clients build their brands within.
Five years at Wavelines, a specialty surf, skateboard, and snow retailer, put him hands-on with the brands that define the space, where he learned what separates a quality product from a forgettable one. Co-founding Sunth, an outdoor apparel company, he took products from concept to finished goods and sat on the other side of the table, experiencing firsthand what it means to be the client Backsnap MFG now serves. He also serves as a lifeguard for the City of Del Mar, where accountability is the standard every single day.
Every sport, every session, every job: there was always a hat involved.
Through building Sunth, one constant kept surfacing: the hat. Sourcing custom headwear that met the standard of the brands he admired was harder than it should have been. So he built the solution for custom made hats himself.
Backsnap MFG is the result: a founder-led custom headwear studio built for brands that care about the details. Founded in San Diego, serving clients internationally, every order comes with real design support, full customization, and direct access to the person who built it.
